MOM’S GERMAN PANCAKES

A sweet treat!  

Ingredients

Scale

2 eggs

1 C milk

2 t granulated sugar

1  1/2 C flour

1 t baking powder

1 t vanilla

Crisco or butter to fry 

Confectioner’s sugar (lots)

Instructions

Beat the eggs with the milk in a large bowl

Add flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and vanilla

Whisk until smooth

Plop a tablespoon or so of crisco in a skillet and let it heat up over medium heat

When it’s melted, pour in batter to make smallish pancakes (see pics below)

Let them cook on one side until they start to puff a little and turn golden brown, a minute or two is all it takes 

Turn and let cook through on the other side
