Well I got the first round of discovery and it’s pretty much what I expected – a lot of questions about the contract. When did I sign it, did I understand it before I signed it, etc. etc.
No mention at all of missing garage doors and bathroom fixtures that don’t match. As my attorney reminds me though, that will come in due course.
I answered them all in one evening and sent them on to my attorney who will put them in a more legal format and then file them with the court.
Dick has been quiet for a while, maybe it’s finally sinking in that he’s made a big mistake. Probably not.
I’ve been working on my questions for him and it’s been quite a bit of fun.
Basically, I’ve recounted everything that’s wrong with the house and then asked questions like, “Isn’t it customary for a finished home to have garage doors? Isn’t is customary for the bathtub and sink in a bathroom to be the same color? Do you admit that you are a complete idiot?” Just kidding about that last one. Sort of. I should have them finished in a few days and then off they go to my attorney who will again put them in a more legal format and file them with the court.
The fall here has been a wonderful distraction. The trees have gotten over their initial reluctance to turn colors and are simply stunning…
