Ina’s Warm Brie and Apples

  • 1 French baguette, sliced diagonally
  • 12 oz of good French brie
  • 6 T honey
  • 3 T roasted, salted pistachios
  • 4 oz greens
  • 1 T syrupy balsamic vinegar
  • 3 T good olive oil
  • Kosher salt and pepper from the mill
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast for 6 to 8 minutes or until crispy
  3. Cut the brie into four wedges and arrange in a baking dish, drizzle the honey over it and sprinkle with the pistachios
  4. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes at 350 degrees or until it starts to ooze a little
  5. Toss the greens with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil and arrange on a serving plate with the apples, brie and toast
