Ina’s Warm Brie and Apples

The original recipe called for Mache or Lamb’s Lettuce. I couldn’t find any, so used leaf lettuce instead.  The brie pairs perfectly with pistachios and the honey was the perfect way to set it all off.

I could have this every night! It was wonderful!

Brie, ohhh. Covered with honey, or jam, or any of a number of condiments. Nothing better. As for the salad, I have a wonderful Cranberry and Pear infused White Balsamic vinegar that would be wonderful with this salad. And the photos are wonderful, you are becoming quite the foodie.

I don’t much care for brie but I’m a sucker for oven baked brie with honey and nuts. It must have been great eating that!

This looks so fancy, beautiful, and simple! I really wish I liked brie, because I’m sure this would be delicious. Those pistachios on top and the apples, yum.

    Oh super YUM!
I had to look up mache. says it has a nutty flavor. Looking at photos of the leaves, I believe I’ve had it in lettuce/greens mixes–either bought or grown myself. I’ll be on the lookout for it now.

You said you need an ocean to sit by…
I LOVE the ocean/beach, but I also adore the mountains. You live in a beautiful part of the world!
