Whiskey Sour with Blackberry Shrub

A tart, tasty cocktail made with whiskey, lemon juice and blackberry shrub 



2 ounces of whiskey

1 ounce of blackberry shrub

1/2 ounce of simple syrup

Basil leaves for a garnish

A dash or two of bitters, if desired 


Add whiskey, shrub and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker

Shake vigorously for 10 seconds

Add some ice and shake for another 10 seconds

Strain into a glass filled with ice, add a shake or two of bitters

Garnish with basil
