Rose Wine Wine

Goats do Roam

I am a complete sucker for a cute label so when I was wandering aimlessly around the wine store recently and saw this, I had to buy it.

I thought it might be an unpretentious little wine (tee hee, I have ALWAYS have wanted to say that) that didn’t take itself too seriously. I mean how serious can you be with that name? Anyway, I wasn’t really expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised! It’s fruity and light tasting, perfect for August.

After working all day in the heat, I mixed it with a little soda water and some ice cubes and it became quite a nice drink to sip on the deck and watch the sun go down! Might be fun to mix up a batch for a party if your guests aren’t wine snobs or are wine snobs with a sense of humor! Just the ticket when the weather is way too warm to be serious about anything! Even wine!

Purists may be screaming right now about ice cubes and soda water, but desperate times call for desperate measures my friends. It has been so hot that I haven’t really felt like drinking wine. And if I don’t drink wine, how will I find cool wines for you to try? yikes!

I’m one of those purists and you don’t hear me screaming right now. I’m at wits end over all this heat. And smoke. This really looks refreshing.

Love the name of this wine!

I would totally drink it with you. Ice cubes and ummm… water.

    Yeah.

    I’m all kinds of sophisticated!

This sounds like a nice wine! I hope there are no fires in your area…wish this hot dry summer would end soon and that the west gets some relief!!

      Pat,

We have had some fires here, but fortunately not right at my house. Yikes! It’s been a scary summer, I’m ready for some cooler weather and rain…

I chose wine based on name and labels too, and I’ve chosen this wine for those same reasons. Love this post!

I bought a bottle of this last year and posted about it, and then a South African blogger – Twigs, Tassels and Tastebuds – wrote about the winery. Fun!

      Pondside:

How fun! I swear that we were sisters that were separated at birth. I can’t tell you how many times I visit your blog and think “that’s exactly what I would do!”
