KOONUNGA HILL – PENFOLDS SHIRAZ CABERNET

Great cheap red! It was fruity and well balanced absolutely perfect with the pepperoni pizza I had it with! I think it would be wonderful with barbecue or even a nice medium rare rib eye off the grill…

Try it, I’ll bet you will like it!

I’ve tried & liked it 🙂 It is a good, cheap red. Great with chocolate too!

I tasted a Shiraz once and loved it. Very smooth and mellow. This is a great “K” word, very unusual. xo

Love the red Bordaux’s the best! Right now there are so many red wines out, that I have lost track of what I like, lol!

Back in the day when I did drink wine, Shiraz was one of my favorites…but it’s been years and I never tasted koonunga.

I wonder is this is available up here – for our Friday night steak and oven fries (One Perfect Bite!). I’m sort of on a Malbec streak right now, but open to recommendations from trusted sources (like you!)

Not a wine drinker, but if I were I would definitely stick to the less expensive varieties. We’ve been out to dinner with people who have spent amazing amounts on their wine.

    =)

I love Cabernet Shiraz varieties, but I’ve never tasted a wine from Australia.
