I stopped at Korbel Winery on my way to the coast.
Sigh…it’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it and it might as well be me. This place would be worth visiting even if you couldn’t get champagne here. I really expected to see Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr sitting on the patio having lunch! It’s kind of touristy, but in a good way. I ended up buying a six pack of champagne (who knew there was such a thing!). It’ll be great fun to surprise my guests with this summer instead of the sangria they’ll be expecting!
I got a kick out of this sign. This place is 6500 feet lower than where I live! I loved all the oxygen!! and bubbles!!!
If you are ever in the neighborhood, stop here and have lunch with Cary and Deborah…
and if nothing else, go check out their website, I love the bubbles..so cool! Korbel Champagne
Oh how I would love to be there with you and drink a glass of my favorite drink.

Sounds like a beautiful bubbly kind of place to visit and enjoy!
Have a Happy K Day!

Congratulations on being the first “K” post on Jenny’s link! My husband would probably enjoy the oxygen level there – he nearly passed out when we visited Pike’s Peak!
Hmmm. Do champagne grapes grow better a near sea level? I know very little about growing wine grapes or making wine. 🙂
What a fun place to stop and spend some time!
what a neat place to visit.
i love the bubbles, too!
Sounds like fun!
I had no idea that you could get champagne in a six-pack!
I am not a champagne person, but I always love reading your posts!
Oh what fun! We’ll have to look this up if we ever make it back to that area of the country.
I didn’t even know they had a facility you could tour!
I bet your guests will enjoy the surprise of champagne, too!
Thanks for linking!
What a fabulous trip you are sharing.
A+
YUM! I love champagne! How fun to get to go to the place where they make it! I love factory tours like that.
Fun to think of you visiting my neighborhood!
=)
That looks like a fabulous way to get trashed, I mean spend a day 😉
You just take the BEST trips!! Hie thee to a winery!!
Looks like an interesting place to visit even if one is a tea drinker like me. 🙂
Looks like another great place to stop and enjoy the bubbles. Korbel Champagne is beautiful!
i had a quick look at your other posts. sounds like you’re having (or have had?) a great vacation. :]
Mmmmm that sounds wonderful – and lucky guests to be served champagne! I will be using your trip posts for our next little holiday down through WA and Oregon.
I’m not big on the taste of champagne but the thought of having a “six-pack” of champagne sounds too funny 🙂 You definitely seem to be having a great time on this road trip!
Haha it’s a tough job but I’m glad that we’ve got you to show us these places RMW! 😀
did they have tasting stations? That is a low coastline – and I thought the plains states were low. Enjoy your travels! {:-D
sounds wonderful! visiting wineries can be a blast!
