Late in the day yesterday I had two cute huge visitors. I see all kinds of wildlife up here, but rarely see a moose. So it was a treat to see this sweet Mama and her teenaged calf.
The orange water spigot you see is the water source for my someday future dream barn. In the meantime, I’ve put a stock tank there and keep it filled for the wild critters. Since moose like to be around water, sometimes it will bring them in.
I love it!

What a great post for the Letter M! What a site to behold…from a distance. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing!
Wow — I thought we were exotic with our occasional deer and fox. You definitely win the critter contest! Amazing creatures to have as neighbors.
Wow, what an amazing sight!
x
Colour me green with envy! Thanks for taking photos, though, so we can see them too. 🙂
What great shots of your critters.
My son lives in Juneau and gets them
all the time.. be careful around a mom
with her baby, they get really mean!
So Cool!

We went to Alaska when I was 6 and saw a baby moose lost and my dad named her Miranda (my name.)
Stunning! Thank you so much for sharing your moose photos I loved them. I am not a participant in the letter M links but I had to say how much I enjoyed the photos.
That has got to be awesome to find these roaming around on your property. I don’t get that here at all in the city. Nice shots.
That is so cool! I would love to have a hydrant out in the back forty for the wild animals. I feel so bad for them in this drought.
oh this is awesome!
These are amazing!
Aren’t they the most interesting-looking animals? They sure can move! Sadly, one of my cousins was killed on a norther highway when her car struck a moose – a big hazard of driving in the north.
I just looked back on your posts I’ve missed – what I wouldn’t give for a glass of sangria and a tomato sandwich!
Oh my! What a wonderful post for letter M. What a treat for you to be able to observe these wild creatures! Thanks for sharing.
I’m liking your “M” words. M”ama “M”oose and Baby “M”oose seem to be liking their stroll through your place.
My animal is much smaller at Jim’s Alphabe-Thursday posts.
..
Cool! When we were in PC last week, we saw 5 moose in less than an hour, two young cows (probably sisters) and a mama with 2 very young babies! Love it!
Nice catch. I love those great moose
We don’t see those here but deer is another thing! What great things you get to see from home.
This is way too cool!
Wonderful photos! I have a thing for moose — my childhood imaginary playmate was named Moosie, but I drew a picture of him and he looked more like a monkey!
You are so lucky to see them and thank you so much for the lovely photos. Love your M!
Mine is here
Have you an AWESOME WEEK!
hugs

Fantastic photography of one of nature’s beauties ~ (A Creative Harbor)
I love the sound they make! My kids use to mimic it very well.
=)
So far, “mine” have not visited, though a neighbor has spotted the two bulls grazing nearby. I have a stream (water feature) which also sometimes attracts them. Don’t run into them unexpectedly – I hear they’re kinda grouchy about visitors.
Fabulous visitors to see on your property! Moose are so fascinating as they look like a blend of animals to me…part horse, part bison.
My friend,
As always, great, great pictures!! I feel as if I am actually there.
those are great looking animals! Something you don’t see every day! Great that the water is out there for wild ones. Exciting plans for the future! {:-D
Such magnificent moose.
Mooses?
Meece?
Oh geez.
sorry. That was definitely off on a tangent.
I really liked these pictures!
Even if my grammar stinks!
Thanks for the sharing!
A+
That’s very cool! While on vacation recently in Canada, I saw a cow and calf moose munching away by the side of the road.
