SALMON FISHING

Nearly every time I come out here, I go Salmon fishing with Captain John.

This is the little marina where Captain John keeps his boat.

This is Captain John getting the boat ready to go

Usually, we don’t go very far out and the weather is beautiful and the seas are calm. This year, though, the seas were rough and we couldn’t even get out into the ocean. The boat got pushed around and I wondered if I was going to keep my breakfast where it belongs in my stomach. It started to rain, and that, coupled with getting my teeth jarred out, was just a little too much. I reluctantly started to pull my line in to go home, when I got a hit! After about 10 minutes of arguing with the salmon about whether he belonged in the ocean or in my freezer, I got him in the boat and we headed back to port….

Captain John cleaned him for me and made arrangements to get him packaged and frozen so I can just pick him up on my way home.   Can’t wait to get this bad boy home in my freezer where he belongs!

What a great vacation you are having. If you buy the little building for a catering store I just might have to drive out there and shop. Road trip are fun.

We love Salmon! It was good to see that despite the rough waters, your fishing adventure was a success :o)

    Blessings & Aloha!
Thank you for visiting! Yes, the skillet bread is super-duper quick and easy! :o) It would be a hit for your grands and will go well with your delicious entrees!
