I first saw this at the Sundance Film Festival. It’s hands down the best movie I’ve seen in a long time.
It’s the story of Sixto Rodriguez, a Detroit born musician who writes soulful, amazing songs and eventually is “discovered”. His album bombs in the US. In South Africa, however, it is a different story. His music becomes the voice of the struggle against Apartheid.
This film will make you believe in the human spirit again.
The sound track is amazing. It’s been my go to music for over a year now.
Find it. See it. You won’t be sorry…

It is interesting that you have posted a film for this week. I have been thinking of a topic for the next round of Alphabet Thursday and I am thinking of doing A-Z of films . I have not seen the above but will lok out for it thank you

Thanks for the movie suggestion. It is always nice to find out about movies we would otherwise miss, as often the gems are hidden under the tons of junk that seems to churn out of hollywood.

Hi Ms. R.M. ~~ I am glad you got to attend the film festival. Some day I might like to do that but it wont’ be on my bucket list right now.
Searching for Sugar Man had good ratings so with your blessing it will be on my list to watch. Our library has it as it is distributed by Sony Entertainment. I don’t do Blue Ray so I will ask for all three versions and hope that one works the old fashioned way.

I love cook books and one of my favorite ones is the Colorado Cache!Through the years I lost my copy and I bought another one recently at the thrift store. It was a lucky find. I love all cook books and this one is no exception. I do not have this cookbook! A lovely giveaway and always great to visit you! Thanks for the share!
