White Wine

ALWAYS LOOKING OUT FOR YOU…L’ Ecole No 41

I am always looking for new wines for you to try.  I feel like it is my duty to try as many wines as I can, so I can steer you guys to the good ones.

Anyway, I have a new one for you to try.  It’s from one of my very favorite wineries, it’s a Chenin Blanc (you don’t see too many Chenin Blancs anymore), and it’s light and fruity, a little sweet, but not too sweet. It was the perfect pairing for the Pear Salad below and the ladies at the book club meeting drank it all up! Don’t worry, I’ll pick up a few bottles when I’m in Walla Walla later this month, as well as several more wines to try for you.

If you can find this at your local wine purveyor, buy it!  It’s inexpensive and will make a great summer wine to sip with all the great salads you make over the summer…

Happy Sipping!

      Hi Jaime,

Thanks for stopping by. I went to Walla Walla for the first time last year. Typically, I try and make a trip or two to CA or WA or OR for wine tastings every year. I liked Walla Walla so much, though, that I had to add it to the rotation, and, in fact, put it at the top of the rotation and come back this year. It’s such a cool little town, great restaurants, nice people. I’ll be in town sometime during the last week of May, and you guys are on the very top of my list. Thanks for the heads up about Fridays, I’ll try to work it so I’m there on a Friday…

Is it gluten free? I need to find some new gluten free wines.

I’ll leave the research to you and I will be the tester (if you say gluten free, don’t want to end up sick)
