I read “An Everlasting Meal” when I was on vacation this summer. Actually I inhaled this book. If you are just looking for recipes, this book is probably not for you. However, if you are looking for a new way to look at cooking and food in general, this book can be life changing. It’s a philosophy of food preparation based on seasonality, good sense and taste. It’s the way I’ve learned to look at food, written in a beautiful voice with expertise I don’t have. It’s a breath of fresh air and common sense in a world of fast food and complicated recipes with 25 ingredients…

Sounds like an interesting read!
I love reading about food and cooking. I am going to have a look.
Merry Christmas.
aahh, a healthy E 🙂
I just learned about “seasonal” eating (and really thinking about it) in the past year or so. Will definitely look into this book.
thanks for sharing the link to this wonderful book.
i too do not enjoy reading a recipe that has 10/15 or more ingredients. it is not how i like to cook or eat. i can’t wait to get a hold of this book!
wonderful posts – as always!
Sounds like a good book for a man to have. 25 ingredients!!! 🙂
..
I really want to get into seasonal cooking. It makes so much more sense doesn’t it?!
This really sounds like a wonderful book!
This looks like a keeper! I will have to check it out!
I probably need to read this. I need to look at food differently, because I don’t enjoy cooking. It feels like a chore.
I do, however, enjoy eating!
😉
I believe that you DO have that voice! And I’d love to be sitting at your table at Christmas, devouring some of your wonderful dishes!!
Sounds like a book I should read. Thank you for your friendship and support this past year. We’ll have to make a plan to meet finally in the new year.
Sounds wonderful! I may have to read this. We are getting snow and good reading materials are a must on cold wintry nights! Happy New Year! Hugs anne
This sounds fascinating. I’m going to order this up at the library!
