GEARHART!

I have fallen in love…

Not with anything as ordinary as a man or even a horse or a new puppy…no, gentle friends, I have fallen in love with a town.

I pulled in here in the late afternoon and stopped at this little collection of cottages called Gearhart Ocean Inn.

Lucky for me, they had a vacancy (I’m not organized enough to actually call ahead or anything like that) and pretty soon my truck was parked outside this cute little cottage

Here’s what the inside looked like before I dumped all my stuff all over the place

bedroom

kitchen

fireplace in living area

I unloaded my suitcase, camera equipment and golf clubs and then went for a little walk around town…it isn’t hard to do, the town consists of one stoplight, one “nice” restaurant, one bakery, one grocery store, a diner up by the highway, an art gallery, antique shop and garden center. That’s it..you can walk around the place in 30 minutes or less…

I think my truck may be parked here for quite some time….

I could live in that darling cottage. Who needs more than “one” of a thing. More than one only takes up valuable time making choices.

Thank you sooo much for your lovely visit! I love to look at old photos and remember some of what I can still remember! (Hopefully for our children and future grandchildren to enjoy too :o)

That town is just gorgeous! 🙂 I have a dream of visiting gorgeous little American towns. I always see them in films or movies and they look so charming!

I think I love Gearhart just from looking at your photos. If it was me, I’d never leave that little cottage because it’s just so darling! I absolutely love that fireplace too 🙂
