Hook & Ladder – Station 10

hook-and-ladder-russian-riv

I loved this! It’s got definite blackberry undertones, very fruity, well balanced tannins – excellent!!!

It would be wonderful paired with a hearty stew or roast, but I sipped mine while reading in front of the fireplace with some cheese and crackers and enjoyed every drop.

A fireplace, cheese, crackers and a wine with blackberry undertones? Sounds like Paradise!

You always find the most interesting wines. I have to say cheese and crackers and a fireplace would be the perfect combination!

I will have to try your hook and ladder next time I buy wine. You made it sound good. With a name like that my guess is that it is either a California or an Australian.

Our meal tonight was cereal and a banana so that we can finish off our bottle of red Pinnetti “sipping wine” (cheap Italian) with some cheese and crackers.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! 🙂

    That’s my kind of ‘H’!!

Although it’s summer in Australia so a crisp, cool Sav Blanc is more my thing right now 🙂

    Happy New Year

Interesting name for a bottle of red wine. I’m sure it must have tasted heavenly.

My favorite “H” word would be Scotch. Oops, guess that’s wrong. LOL

Nice photo. I don’t drink alcohol beverages, but the whole sipping wine and reading by the fireplace while having cheese and crackers sounds toasty cozy. I’ll switch the wine out for a hot cup of joe or cocoa and keep the rest, ok? lol I was a terrible blogging friend last year, but I hope to make amends this year. I’m feeling a bit of motivation and inspiration to make the necessary changes to meet my goals in 2015. Here’s hoping life is good for you throughout the new year! 😉

An interesting name for a wine. Sounds good with cheese and crackers and that nice warm fire in the fireplace.

Too funny! Here I was, expecting to read about a visit from the fire brigade or a visit to the station house. I never expected a wine! Clever post.
