I spent my last day here reading in these chairs by the ocean. I know, it’s hard, but someone has to do it.

This guy watched me the entire time.  I must have looked suspicious to him.

Then I went for a late lunch to the Pacific Way Cafe. The food was delectable and the wine was wonderful as always.

Should you ever find yourself in Northern Oregon (and you really should consider finding yourself in Northern Oregon!),this place is the perfect seafood restaurant Pacific Way Cafe.

After dinner I came back here, packed and then made myself a goodbye Oregon cocktail.

Is that a teaspoon or a tablespoon of Marionberry syrup? Been thinking about booking a place on the Oregon coast near Cannon beach…thanks for this recommendation.

      Hi Ellen,

a teaspoon is enough. it’s very sweet but add more if you like a sweeter drink!

No wonder it’s the favourite place of so many people. I love that beach in all season. I think it’s time for another visit!

      Pondside,

We should really try to meet up for lunch sometime when I’m in OR. I bet we’d have a ball!

      Barb,

I think it was an eagle, a young one.

      He was a little intimidating.

We stayed at the agate beach best western plus. I fell in love w the Oregon coast and the beach too we were lucky enough to have an ocean view room, we went when the tide was out and watched the locals dig Razorback clams. A delicacy. The chef at the hotel was ama omg!! Every meal we had- dinner and breakfast were superb. I really enjoyed the crab salad. Had crab beignets for appetizer. Yum yum. I’m trying to replicate the Marionberry martini that was served. I think I’ll add the lemon too. It was a thicker drink served in a rimed with turbunated sugar martini glass. Another yum yum.

      Hi Kathy,

I bought the syrup from a gift shop in Oregon but I have seen it available online.

      Thanks,

      Barb
