Sounds so good to me. Your post made my mouth water. All of our tomatoes ripened early this year and there are none left to fry. My question is how did a Rocky Mountain girl learn to fry green tomatoes? (I was raised in the Rockies too but live in the south now)
    Nice to meet you,

      Hi Kat,

I learned to fry green tomatoes from my dear sweet mother in law who was born in PA (like I was). Her husband was in the Navy and they spent a lot of time living in the South on Naval Bases. She picked up some great cooking ideas when she lived there and passed them on to me.

      Thanks for stopping by!

My, oh my….did you give us a GREAT post. I have green tomatoes coming out my ears because we had to pick them all before the the first big frost. The way you presented the recipe with all of the pictures was just the best. Thanks so much.

I love fried green tomatoes. We have a concession stand here that feeds the folks who come to listen to the free music in the park. Fried green tomatoes in a basket are the best sellers. Yum.

Yummy. I do something similar but soak them in buttermilk with a few dashes of hot sauce for a few minutes.

    Yours look delicious!

If I can keep my dog out of my garden I will try this soon! So far the metal loops seems to be working and more tomatoes seem to be getting a little bigger.

Thanks for a scrumptious stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday!

YUMMY! Loving fried green tomatoes! Part of southern tradition :o) First ate some in Alabama years ago…if not made at home, living in southern Georgia, we can order them…right along side the deep fried pickles :o)

    Blessings & Aloha!
